“Don’t Hate the Media, Be the Media!”
UK #indymedia, near death, was ripped in two by internal social forces – https://archive.indymedia.org.uk/. These two “victorious”, blood-spattered parts promptly expired. The battle of open/closed, spiky/fluffy had NO GOOD OUTCOME. We need to remember this for the reboot.
The idea is to:
- keep it simple (KISS, PGA, 4opens)
- push the balance of control from the geek to the producers/users
- use existing good UX tools to build a #4opens network.
